The Swifty’s app is designed to be a tracking, communication, payments, and maintenance log system.
Firstly, each customer creates a profile. A personal or company profile can have many cars attached to it and each car’s history is kept along with the invoices, which have been paid on that car, and the car history is transferable from the current owner to a new owner.
Tracking
Too often, car owners are not fully aware of what has been done to their car and when it was done. This can lead to some maintenance areas being left too long (which can lead to an unsafe car or unnecessary damage) or done unnecessarily early (an extra unnecessary cost). The Swifty’s app is designed to track your car’s maintenance history. Therefore, you and the Swifty’s team know precisely what has been done to your car and when it was done. For example: a time belt has a precise km interval prescribed by the car’s manufacturer. If it is left and not done it will eventually break. In most cases, this causes huge internal damage to the engine and will cost many thousands of rands to fix, but if it is a large and expensive repair and if it is done too early, it is a waste of money. Another example is hydraulic brake fluid. Brake fluid is hydroscopic, which means it absorbs water. Water in a car braking system can not only cause water damage, but it can boil when the brakes are used heavily and can cause your brakes to fail, which is obviously very unsafe.
Communication
Swifty’s helps make car ownership easier and more cost effective. We believe communication can help with this process. With the Swifty’s app, we can communicate with our customers, prompting them to check their car’s mileage to see if it is time for a car service, so they don’t have to worry about the car as much, and letting them know what is due for servicing and what has been done already.
Payment and invoicing solution
The Swifty’s app will have a payment gateway as part of its function, allowing customers to login to their profile, view the invoice and pay for their service all via the app. The invoices will become part of the history of the car within the customers profile and kept for viewing by the Swifty’s team or the profile holder.
Maintenance log
Knowing a car’s history not only saves each Swifty’s customer money (by not missing vital maintenance, or doing some areas too often), but it keeps the car as safe and reliable as possible. The Swifty’s team will record each time maintenance has been done on each car and precisely what has been done. This not only helps to retain as much value in each car but offers each customer piece of mind that the motorcar they are driving is in the best shape it can be.
